BOTOX Cosmetic Injections

 About the Procedure
Botulinum toxin is the substance responsible for Botulism. Over the past 15 years, this previously feared material, used in minute quantities as compared to toxic doses, has successfully been able to treat forehead wrinkles.

BOTOX cosmetic(R) (Allergan) is injected with a tiny needle into the muscles that cause us to frown and wrinkle our foreheads. The injections take about 10 minutes to perform. They stop the muscles which control facial expression from working, softening the lines of the forehead and the deep furrows between the eyebrows. In an effort to minimize discomfort, we apply numbing cream to the skin and ice cooling to reduce bruising.

 Recovery and Healing
BOTOX cosmetic(R) injections cause almost no redness or swelling. You may drive yourself to and from the treatments and resume normal activities immediately.
