Sofwave™ is a quick treatment, usually taking 30–45 minutes. The procedure fits right into your daily routine and requires no preparation on the patient’s part. A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin right before treatment to mitigate heat sensitivity. Dr. Grotting’s aesthetic nurse will guide the handheld device over the treatment area, allowing ultrasound waves to penetrate the skin, heating the tissue and triggering collagen production.
Depending on your level of sensitivity, you may feel warmth or tenderness during the procedure.
